What has happened so far on the program?

I gained around 26 lbs. My lifts approximately doubled during that time (on all respective lifts)

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

The 4-6 rep range. I had read a lot on hypertrophy ranges, and that was huge turn off, but I did/stuck with the program.

What do you like most about the program?

It was easier than I expected. I like how the workouts are concentrated (short with frequent breaks)… Results were better than expected with the 4-6 rep range.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

In a novice stage of lifting, I found hypertrophy specific training as good as Bigger Leaner Stronger. I saw better aesthetics through HST, but slightly lower strength gains. However, I hit a plateau in HST that I didn’t hit with BLS, so I feel like HST is only good for novice training. Further, HST requires a strategic decompression period (takes 9-14 days off), and this is really frustrating.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

I am definitely more confident when I’m fit, and this confidence shines in almost all areas of life.

Stick with the program, stay consistent, and know that whatever plateau you hit can be broken.
